Hydrotherapy
Hydrotherapy is a form of physiotherapy treatment conducted in a heated pool. Supervised by physiotherapists with specific training in hydrotherapy, clients undertake specifically designed exercises to help regain or enhance their physical wellbeing.
Role of physiotherapy
Clients are individually assessed by the physiotherapist conducting the hydrotherapy program. The physiotherapist then develops a tailored treatment plan conducted individually or in a group setting.
Benefits of physiotherapy
Movement in water is easier than on land. The effects of turbulence and buoyancy, combined with warm water, helps reduce pain and muscle spasm.
