5-for strenghtening the muscle we do electrical stimulation for
a-0 pulse
b- 5pulse
c-16pulse****
d-10pulse
in Electrical Muscle Stimulation the parameters may be 3L or 3m or 3s
3L Low intensity, Low rate and Long time
3M Medium intensity, Medium rate and Medium time
3S Strong intensity, Strong (high) rate and Short time
A high rate is applied to activate ÔAÕ type motor nerve fibres, to initiate and maintain
impulse transmission, which directly activates and maintains skeletal muscle exercise.
3S applications are used with EMS for:
¥ Building body strength and developing body shape.
A low rate is applied to activate ÔCÕ type motor nerve fibres, which initiate and
maintain impulse transmission at pulse rates as low as 1 pps. This requires prolonged
period 3L2 applications to:
¥ Strengthen visceral muscle.
¥ Increase the microcirculatory flow.
¥ Exercise over extended periods
¥ Maintain a continuous supply of oxygen and nutrients to damaged cells.
¥ Aids in the removal of lactic acid and carbon dioxide from these cells.
¥ Hyper-activate the function of the brain to allow a release of endorphins.
A medium pulse rate is a compromise between a high and a low rate and is used to:
¥ Increase body stamina.
¥ Increase cardiovascular endurance and also tone up the body.
¥ Increase the micro-circulatory flow to assist in the prevention of muscle fatigue.
This is what I call 3M application - This rate requires use for longer periods with
medium levels of intensity.
6-acceleration injury(whiplish injury) may cause
a-pain in posterior aspect of the neck*****
b-pain at posterior aspect of the back
c-dilocation of the vertebral colume
d-tearining of posterior paraspinal ligement.
Whiplash is a nonmedical term used to describe neck pain following an injury to the soft tissues of your neck (specifically ligaments, tendons, and muscles). It is caused by an abnormal motion or force applied to your neck that causes movement beyond the neck's normal range of motion.
symptoms of whiplash injury are
•Neck pain
•Neck swelling
•Tenderness along the back of your neck
•Muscle spasms (in the side or back of your neck)
•Difficulty moving your neck around
•Headache
•Pain shooting from your neck into either shoulder or arm

Paraffin hardens MELTING POINT at a temperature of approximately 55°C (51 –55°C),
Paraffin wax bath therapy is an application of the molten paraffin
wax on the body part. The temperature of the paraffin wax is
maintaining at 40-44°c, where as its melting point is 51-55°c. If the
molten wax at 51-55°c is poured on the body part, its may cause burn
over the body tissue,

Thoracic outlet syndrome (TOS) is a syndrome involving compression at the superior thoracic outlet [1] involving compression of a neurovascular bundle passing between the anterior scalene and middle scalene.[2] It can affect the brachial plexus (nerves that pass into the arms from the neck), and/or the subclavian artery or vein (blood vessels that pass between the chest and upper extremity).

The machine will deliver ‘pulses’ of electrical energy, and the rate of delivery of these pulses (the pulse frequency) will normally be variable from about 1 or 2 pulses per second (pps) up to 200 or 250 pps
Traditional TENS (Hi TENS) Usually use stimulation at a relatively high frequency (90 - 130 Hz The stimulation is delivered at ‘normal’ intensity - definitely there but not uncomfortable.
Acupuncture (Lo) TENS Use a lower frequency stimulation (2-5 Hz) with wider (longer) pulses (200-250? s - still not at the patients’ threshold, but quite a definite, strong sensation.
burst TENS interrupting the stimulation outflow at rate of 2 - 3 bursts/second. The stimulation intensity will need to be relatively high,
20-patient coming with industrial burn involved the dorsum muscle of the left hand, after study there is discontinous chronoxia227/m. so we could use:
a- continous direct current********** يعني galvanic current لانها denervated muscle في انقطاع في قراءة الجهاز يعني في شلل
b- faradic current
c- interrupted direct current
